Travelling is always a good
journey of life. When it comes to travel and trek then its like a perfect
moment to cherish forever. Travelling is the kind of
activity, which almost all the people love. For someone it is an
opportunity to relax and abstract from everyday busy life. For others it is
interesting to observe
the way people of other cultures and mentality live. But I considered it to be the best
way to have fun, learning, enjoying the natural beauty and having blissful
experience.
I
had never understood exactly why the name thrilled me to the bone as soon as I
heard Pokhara!!!!
Remarkable
place of natural beauty, Pokhara city which is also known as the center of
adventure is always my favorite place to travel and trek. Mountain looked even
more spectacular from here. It has established itself as an ultimate holiday
getaway and is popular for its exotic locations, cheaper accommodations,
recreations and sports, in recent times.
Beautiful
memories of Pokhara tour of 7 days are still fresh in my mind. Well, I do
remember waking up early in the morning with the excitement to see famous ‘Fish-tail
mountain (Machhapuchhre). It was very
mesmerizing. The Mountain with the most peculiar shape not only stood clean,
white and beautiful but the very first rays of sun clouding over the top indeed
fascinating. I can still remember the twist of joy I felt looking at the
nature’s most lovely form.
The serenity of
lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create of peace and magic. There are many beautiful
places to visit in Pokhara which I never wanted to miss as it gives heavenly
pleasure to stay connected with such a natural wonders.
The second largest lake in the kingdom, Phewa Lake is one of
the fascinating parts of lakeside carries the splendid view of the mountains,
especially when the still water reflects the peaks, creating a double image. Likewise
Barahi temple is the most important religious monument in Pokhara built almost
in the middle of Fewa lake, the two storied pagoda representing the female
force of Hindu. Boating in phewa lake around the temple and to worshipping the
temple that lies in the middle of the lake is such a great experience that
everyone must have.
For me "trekking has
been always a best way to explore places and to get sink with natural beauty
and i was loving it completely" so I choose to visit Begnas and
Rupa Lake which offers the perfect nature retreat. Splendid boating and fishing experience makes
me to go in Pokhara again and again.
Another most attractive places to visit Pokhara is World
Peace Pagoda because it is a massive Buddhist stupa and is situated on top of a
hill on the southern shore of Fewa lake. Besides being an impressive sight in
itself, the shrine is a great symbol which offers spectacular views of the
Annapurna range and Pokhara city. Being there I felt peace, calm and
spiritually connected.
Davis's fall is an awesome waterfall named after a Swiss
tourist who was swept away at the same place. The interesting aspect of the
falls is that the water travels through a natural tunnel prior. The water from
the fall flow about 500 ft through the natural tunnel at the depth of 100 ft.
The next place to visit is a sacred cave known as Gupteswar
Gupha. This cave holds special value for Hindus since some symbol of Lord Shiva
is preserved here in the condition it was discovered. Visiting here we can
fulfill our wish to have an experience of the cave.
Sarangkot , a beautiful village on the top of a hill is a
popular tourist destination of Pokhara. One can enjoy the majestic views of
Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain ranges from the top.
Travelling in pokhara is full of adventures and fun as there
are many challenging sports to play which becomes a lifetime memory. White
Water Rafting 1-10 days adventure expeditions on beautiful rivers is so exciting.
Likewise another heavenly pleasure can be experienced from Paragliding which
mean soaring around Lake Pokhara and the Annapurnas with eagles to guide the
way. There are several companies that organise flights ranging from 40 minutes
- 1.5 hours, as well as cross-country.
To make Pokhara tour more exciting and memorable, an
adventure sporting company in Nepal, has recently introduced bungy jumping in
Pokhara. Located at the height of 70 meters, where one can suspend in the air
over an artificial pond. The wider landscape and mostly open roads encourages
cycling in the region. One can hire a cycle for a day or half and visit almost
every tourist spots of Pokhara.
The generous service offered by the hotel management are
really praiseworthy. Likewise the execution of Nepal’s traditional folk dances
and songs, organized for entertainment after dinner are full of fun and
excitements.
So lastly I would like
to recommend everyone to take vacations, go as many places as you can because
you can always make MONEY but You can't Always make MEMORIES!!!!. Live your
life to the fullest connecting with the nature.
